Ever ride an electric unicycle without power pads and feel like you’re balancing a rocket with your knees? I remember when EUCs barely pushed 20mph, and DIY foam pads were all we had. Things have changed. A lot.
As unicycles get faster and heavier, the gear you choose starts to matter more—not just for control, but for comfort and safety. I’ve ridden a few different pads over the years, but after testing the Grizzla Sync Power Pads, I can confidently say they’re in a league of their own.

What Are Grizzla Sync Power Pads?
Grizzla’s Sync pads are 3D-printed, multi-material power pads designed for high-performance electric unicycles. They aren’t the floppy foam bricks from back in the day. These things are engineered.

The outer shell feels rigid and solid—like it can take abuse. But it’s the inner surface that really stands out: a rubbery, grippy, soft layer that molds just enough to your leg and foot without feeling squishy.

That soft inner layer? I’m guessing it’s TPU or some kind of thermoplastic elastomer. Whatever it is, it’s doing the job. These pads grip your body without hotspots or pinching, which makes for a surprisingly natural ride feel.
Installation was easy! Velcro came pre-attached. All you have to do is make sure your electric unicycle has a flat surface with the opposing “loop” velcro attached. Then, line up your Grizzla Sync pads the way you like them—it may take a bit of trial and error—and off you go!

According to the Grizzla site, the SYNC pads are built with a dual-material construction—an ergonomic composite shell and a soft, grippy insert. They’re specifically designed to enhance carving, jumping, braking, and any performance-focused riding style. This isn’t just padding—it’s tech for control.

What I Noticed While Riding
The original standard size fit my Leaperkim perfectly. Right away, I noticed I had more freedom of movement, especially when sitting or shifting my weight. There’s less interference with the top of your foot or shin—something that can be a real issue with bulkier or poorly designed pads.

This extra mobility gives you room to adjust your stance and lean without the pad fighting back. That’s crucial when navigating technical terrain or just wanting a more relaxed ride posture.

Here’s what stood out:
- Excellent grip and comfort — soft inside layer cushions without slipping
- Solid, structured support — composite shell adds confidence for acceleration and braking
- More dynamic movement — allows seated riding without digging into your legs
- Customizable angle — uses rubber bands for tilt adjustments
They’re also some of the best-looking pads I’ve seen. If aesthetics matter to you (they do to me), you’ll appreciate the clean design and available color options.

On the official product page, Grizzla offers multiple color options and notes that each pair is made to order—3D printed and shipped direct. The pads retail at around €199 (~$210-230 USD), which places them in the premium range. Based on what you get, I’d say the price matches the quality.
Any Downsides?
Nothing’s perfect. I had to tweak the Velcro a bit after the pads shifted slightly during a few aggressive rides. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s something to be aware of. Maybe a stronger adhesive or an additional strap option would make them even better. Of course, this is such a minor issue that I’m only writing it down for that extra detail for you.
Lighting?
Lighting isn’t built in, which might matter depending on your setup. You can find great lights for riding at night that I recommend here. That said, Grizzla does offer front and rear clip-on lights, and if you or your EUC already has good lighting, you might not miss it.

Final Verdict: 9.5/10 — A Must-Have for Serious EUC Riders
If you’re still riding with stock pads or foam slabs you shaped with a box cutter, you’re missing out. The Grizzla Sync Power Pads feel like a natural extension of the wheel. They balance support with flexibility—stiff when they need to be, soft where it counts.
For riders pushing their EUCs hard—or just wanting more control without sacrificing comfort—these are absolutely worth checking out. I’m already planning to grab another pair for my next wheel.

I’ve tried a lot of gear in this hobby, and few upgrades make this kind of difference. If you’re into long rides, trail carving, or just want to feel more at one with your EUC, the Grizzla Syncs deliver.
Also worth noting: these pads are built with an ergonomic curve that follows the natural shape of your leg, improving grip and comfort. You can feel the attention to detail in every ride.
